  • How will my heating oil delivery arrive?

    Your heating oil will be delivered via a specialized tank truck equipped with a hose and pump. The driver will locate your fill system, which is typically near your oil tank. For indoor tanks, the fill pipe usually protrudes from the exterior wall adjacent to the tank. For underground tanks, the fill system is generally above ground, directly over the tank. The driver will remove the fill pipe cap, secure the hose nozzle, and deliver either a pre-determined amount or fill the tank completely, based on your order. We offer two primary options: you can call us for each delivery, or enroll in our convenient automatic delivery program.   • How much oil should I order?

    Oil is sold and delivered by the gallon. You can order a specific amount or request a full tank fill. Our minimum delivery is 100 gallons. For customers on our automatic delivery service, we always fill the tank completely to ensure accurate fuel consumption calculations and timely deliveries.   • How large are oil tanks?

    Most residential oil tanks have a 275-gallon capacity, though the actual fuel capacity ranges from 220 to 250 gallons. This is because tanks require some empty space to accommodate fuel expansion and contraction. We recommend keeping your tank filled to avoid run-outs and potential issues associated with near-empty tanks. If a full fill isn't desired, we suggest maintaining at least 100 gallons in a 275-gallon tank.
  • How long will it take for my oil to be delivered after I order it?

    At ABC Fuel Oil Company, we typically require one business day's notice for standard deliveries during the heating season. Customers in outlying areas of our service region may need to allow two to three business days. We don't charge for normal deliveries and offer 24-hour emergency service to current customers. For automatic delivery customers, this emergency service is complimentary. We no longer make after-hours deliveries for will call customers. the same day fee is $150 and a starting of the furnace is $125. Areas closer to refineries and supply lines generally have lower fuel prices. We offer annual cleaning and maintenance for oil-burning equipment at $219.95 which is competitively priced. Even if you're outside our service area, it's possible to find quality service at reasonable rates.
